The Iridium Satellite System provides truly
global, truly mobile, satellite voice and data
solutions with complete coverage of the Earth
(including oceans, airways and Polar regions).
Because of how the Iridium
Satellite System is constructed, there is no
need for confusing coverage maps and cryptic
rate charts. This phone works everywhere!
Utilizing a constellation of 66 low-earth
orbiting (LEO) satellites, operated by Boeing,
Iridium delivers voice, email, data, and short
burst data communications services to and from
remote areas where terrestrial communications
are not available.
Iridium satellite service is ideally suited for
industrial applications such as heavy
construction, defense/military, emergency
services, maritime, mining, forestry, oil and
gas, and aviation. Iridium currently supplies
satellite services to the United States
Department of Defense and for homeland security
applications.
In addition to carrying a full line of military, commercial and individual survival kits and survival equipment, Best Glide ASE's
