The Sparkie Fire Starter is an emergency fire starter that generates intense, hot sparkes with minimal effort. The Ultimate Survival Sparkie Fire Starter is not affected by adverse weather and works even if it gets wet. Simply wipe off excess water from the Sparkie Fire Starter and strike as normal. The Sparkie Fire Starter weighs less than an ounce!
How to use the Ultimate Survival Sparkie Fire Starter
Place your thumb on the word "push" and press down, releasing the spring loaded spark bar.
Place the flat end of the Sparkie Fire Starter spark bar holder on a hard surface in a cleared area at a 75-90 degree angle. (Force applied at the improper angle may damage or break the bar holder.)
Push down on the thumb tab with constant medium pressure and plunge the body of the Sparkie Fire Starter down the spring loaded spark bar. Initiate a few strikes to remove black oxide coating, exposing the bare flint.
Place prepared tinder in cleared fire area. Use the Ultimate Survival Sparkie Fire Starter to shower tinder with sparks to ignite fire. (We recommend WetFire Tinder Cubes or some other tinder to get your fire going.)
If you do not have a hard surface, you can light the Sparkie Fire Starter by holding it in your hand and using your index finger to plunge the spark bar back towards the Sparkie Fire Starter body while maintaining pressure on the thumb tab.
Caution: The Sparkie Fire Starter generates intensely hot sparks so keep away from anything that you do not want to burn. Do not spark more than three consecutive times as hot sparks can gather and damage the bar holder. Be sure to wipe the spark bar with your hand or sleeve before closing/pushing in the spark bar.
Be sure to use the Ultimate Survival Sparkie Fire Starter only as directed.
