    • Can you cook in the tin used in the Ultimate Adventurer Survival Kit?
    • Sir,

That is a great question. The factory that manufactures this item for us tells us that, "yes, you can cook in it safely". However, we don't advertise that because we have NOT done any testing to prove the fact. The treatment used is supposed to the same thing that the same factory uses on pots and pans.

I hope this answers your question. Again, we are always very careful about advertising things that we have not tested on our own. In this case, we have not verified this to be true or safe. As Ronald Reagan stated time and again, "trust, but verify". We simply have not verified this at this time.

    • Hi there...
I have discovered the BCB/Best glide items recently...First thing I noticed is that the BCB site directs you here, where the items are different, but the same...I recently purchased a BCB Ultimate Survival Kit (USA version), the one shown on the older(?) BCB site, the Ultimate on this site is totally different...Different labels, different contents, at the same price...Essentially, the one listed here is much better than the one I recently purchased, as so it appears...
So is the one I purchased older than the one featured on this site or is it different all together because of the 'Adventurer' in the name? did the BCB get dropped from the label, I'm not sure what's going on here...The kit I purchased is coming from Britain if that has any bearing on the items...Hope I don't sound like a knob with my questions...

      thanks for your time
    • Luke,

Thank you so much for your questions. I would be happy to answer. The site is an old site of ours. We simply leave it up to direct our previous BCB customers, who are interested in purchasing U.S. Made and Assembled survival gear, to our new site. I very much regret the confusion this may have caused.

Most of the items that are listed on the site are BCB items, that we no longer carry. For some time, we were the BCB Distributor in the U.S. We are no longer this distributor and therefore, and for other reasons, no longer offer their products.

The BCB Ultimate Survival Kit and the Best Glide Ultimate Adventurer Survival Kit are two different kits. Of course, we believe that ours, the Ultimate Adventurer Survival Kit, is higher quality than the BCB Version and is not a copy of the product. We removed some items we felt were not necessary and added some that we felt were. We made the box more durable, yet larger. We also included higher quality items in the Ultimate Adventurer Survival Kit. In addition, the Ultimate Adventurer Survival Kit is U.S. Military Issue, as are our Wilderness Series Survival Kits and our Military Scout Survival Tin Kit, among other items.

In short, these are two different kits, from two different manufacturers. Best Glide and BCB are no longer affiliated with each other.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to ask any further questions you may have. We are happy to help in any way that we can, specially when it comes to a topic as important as survival equipment.

    • I just purchased the Ultimate Adventurer Survival Kit - Advanced.
My question is: What are the specifications for the Water Filter Straw and what are the instructions on how to use it?
    • Thank you for your question.

BEFORE USING: To remove the harmless carbon dust on the initial use, draw water halfway up straw and discard water, then reattach straw and drink normally.

DIRECTIONS: Attach straw end firmly onto filter outlet. Fill bottle or cup from water source, insert filter and drink from straw. Do not submerge drinking straw into contaminated water. Allow filter to air dry for 48 hours before storing.

      Thank you again,
