Strike Master K1 and K7 Fire Starters

In a survival situation, keeping warm is of primary concern.  Almost everything else can wait.  The Strike Master K1 "Sparky" Magnesium Fire Starter is designed for this purpose and is small enough to carry with you at all times.  The Strike Master K1 Fire Starter is made of a stick of flint and a stick of magnesium fused into one unit.  This allows one to produce very hot, easily started fires with the K1 Strike Master Fire Starter. The K1 Magnesium Fire Starter, the little brother to the K7 Magnesium Fire Starter below, measures approximately 2 3/8" (length) x 3/16" (magnesium) and 1/8" (flint) and fits perfectly on a key ring.

The K1 Sparky Magnesium Fire Starter by Strike Master Survival Tools is operated by using the included scraper to shave magnesium flakes into a pile, then again using the scraper on the flint side of the K1 to ignite the magnesium.  The magnesium will burn at 5400 degrees making it possible to ignite even damp or green tinder.  Because the K1 Fire Starter is designed for 1000 strikes, it is a very reliable and long lasting survival fire starter.

The Strike Master "Sparky" K1 Magnesium Fire Starter can also be used as a signaling device as the sparks can be seen for over 3 miles and comes complete with the flint-magnesium stick, metal ring and scraper. The optional Leather Holder is also offered here.

The Strike Master K7 Magnesium Fire Starter is constructed just like the Strike Master K1 Magnesium Fire Starter above. However, the K7 is larger and capable of throwing more sparks and starting more fires, approximately 7000. Both the K1 (above) and K7 Strike Master Fire Starters are made in the USA. You will simply not find a better pocket fire starter than a Strike Master Magnesium Fire Starter.

We offer the Strike Master K7 Magnesium Fire starter with or without the leather holder though it always comes equipped with the leather strap to conveniently hold the components (magnesium/flint stick and striker) together for easy locating.

The Strike Master K7 Magnesium Fire Starter measures approximately 2.5" (length) x 5/16" (magnesium) and 3/16" (flint), slightly larger than the Strike Master K1 Fire Starter.
