Military Patrol Sleeping Bag
NSN: 8465-01-398-0685

The Patrol Sleeping Bag, Military Issue, is part of the Military Modular Sleep System. However, it works just as well on its own in warmer climates. The Patrol Sleeping Bag, rated for 30 to 50 degree temperatures, is light weight. At about 2.2lbs, you can carry this just about anywhere.  The Patrol Sleeping Bag carries NSN: 8465-01-398-0685.

It is constructed of durable rip stop nylon with a heavy duty zipper and snaps up the side.  An adjustable hood helps to keep warmth in or bugs out.  It measures approximately 90 inches long by 36 inches wide and comes in military green.  This bag is also water resistant.  However, if you are looking for a way to stay fully dry, consider our Military Issue Bivy, which is also part of this system.

The Patrol Sleeping Bag includes a reversible double-pull slider which allows for top or bottom ventilation and a non-locking slide fastener self repairs if jammed or snagged.  A draft flap prevents heat loss and a nylon drawcord and barrel lock draw string on the hood adjusts for heat retention.

Our Military Issue Modular Sleep System Patrol Sleeping Bags are divided into three categories: New/Like New, Very Good and Used. See below for a description of each.

New/Like New
- This means the Patrol Sleeping Bag was received by us still in its original packaging, still retained its tags or/and showed absolutely no signs of use.  In many cases, an item looks new and unused upon inspection, but to be sure, it is included in the Very Good Category.  Before we call anything new, we need some information or indication that it is in unissued, unused condition.Military Surplus Survival Gear

Very Good - The item either appears to be in unused condition or has slight marks that show it was either issued and stored or was used several times at the most.  There will be no tears or rips in the fabric and all zippers and Velcro will be in fully functional condition.  The coloring will be in very good shape.  There may be dust on or folds in the fabric showing where it may have been stored for an unknown period of time.  If there are any apparent repairs, they are in this category if it is evident they were made either by the military or by the manufacturer and brought back to new specifications.

Used - This includes everything else, while still assuring that the Military Patrol Sleeping Bag is fully functional.  There will be no rips or tears in the material.  However, there could be some slight discoloration or signs that the sleeping bag has been used.  In short, it is fully functional but will likely not look new.  There may also be signs of minor wear.  However, again, in this condition the sleeping bag is fully functional and will do everything it was designed to do when new.
